Greetings Friends!
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am very new to the blog so I thought I'd just give it a go! I come, mainly to ask for your opinions and advice. So, here goes...
I am a fifteen year old girl. My height is 5'7 my weight is 125. I'm not necessarily looking to loose weight, but to maintain what I'm at, or five pounds might be nice
. Any way, The way this all started is that I felt insecure because My mom told me this morning that my pencil skirt was tight. She also said in so many words, that because I wear sweatpants around the house and at school most of the time, that I'm getting fat but I just don't realize it. At first I was like "That's BS!" But the more I thought the more I decided that maybe she had a point. In any case it prompted me to take a closer look at my "problem spots." They are my butt, hips (we'll get to them in a second!), and thighs. Because my hips are extremely wide, I carry most of my weight in my bottom half. I think I am what they refer to as a pear shape. My bust is 30in. my waist is 23in. and my hips are 36in. So that makes my waist to hip ratio a .64. My BMI is a 19.6. So what do you think? Does my mom have a point that I'm getting a little tubby? It may not be true although I did put on a few pounds over the Holidays, or it also might be that my mom just remembers the pre-puberty me. As far as diet and exercise go, I try to keep sweet stuff for just the weekends and other than that I just eat three pretty square, home cooked meals a day, and maybe a couple snacks. I try to exercise every other day and I run and do squats, lunges, crunches, just all that toning stuff. So, basically to put it all in a nutshell, I want to trim my hips, butt and thigh area, I feel like I could loose a few pounds and I'm asking y'all if you think I have some work to do to get to a better place fitness wise?
