my routine - need advice!

hello people!

i have started doing regular workout since january and while i am making some noticeable advancements, i am an absolute beginner and would like to see with you guys if i'm doing things right.
first off, i am 20 yr old, 1,83m and weight around 66 kg. I see that most people who come her seeking advice are seeking to lose weight. I am actually seeking to gain some, and I have over the last couple of months gained one or two kgs.

now i hear a lot of people say that there's no use in working your muscles everyday. i've been doing the following routine 6 days a week, and i have gained muscle in the arms and pecs, and a lil on the abs:

100 sit-ups (50 to the left, 50 to the right)
80 biceps
80 forearms
and plenty of other exercises of the arms and shoulders in sets of 20 <--- all arms exercises made now with 3 kg dumbbells. i started with 1,5 kg 3 months ago.

what do you say? am i overworking? or on the contrary?

any input is welcome, thanks a lot.

if u are working hard enough to fatigue ur muscles (which you should be) then you are overtraining by working everyday. You will still notice improvements, but not as much as you would if u were getting more rest.

Oh, and I forgot!

I actually exercise right after I wake up, before I take a shower and eat breakfast. Is this ok or is another time of the day preferable?

I do feel fatigued every morning after I do this, but I never feel sore like in the following day. does this mean i am not working hard enough?

Soreness is NOT an indicator of making gains. Weight training in the morning can be done on an empty stomach. It's really what a person can handle. You may want to try training at other times during the day to see if you respond better aka have a more intense workout if its done before lunch, or when you get home from school/work.
