My opinion on success to weight loss!

Losing weight is very hard work, takes patience and dedication!!

One big thing I see on tv alot is, workout 10 minutes a day and eat what you want.. but this isn't going to make you lose weight!! There is no special pill or 10 minute workout that will just make the fat melt off you.

Eating:

Find a diet you like! If you eat stuff you do not enjoy much, you will not last on it. Everything I eat is stuff I like to eat and is healthy. You need to eat healthy, every meal and no soda. Yes even if you don't eat healthy you can still lose weight, but it isn't as easy or effective. Have a snack every couple hours to keep yourself from getting too hungry. Cut back on your portions. I before ate a foot long from subway, but now only a 6 inch and maybe a yogurt. Eat half of what you did before, wait 10 minutes and see how you feel. Before I would eat until I felt full, but after 10 minutes I felt way stuffed!! So that tells me i ate too much. Make sure you know how much calories you should be eating each day. Eating too much or sometimes too little will effect your weight loss. Drink alot of water, I love Propel so that is what I drink most of the time. There are a lot of things that you should avoid to drink.

Exercise:

IMO You need to workout at least 4 times a week, 30 minutes or more! Weight train 3 times a week. I recommend working out 5-6 days a week, 3 of those days weight training but not back to back. Building your muscles helps you burn calories easier. You want to do a cardio type of exercise. I prefer treadmill, arc trainer and elliptical. Adjust the resistance and incline on the elliptical. When on the treadmill do a 1.0 incline at least on the treadmill, not having an incline is letting the treadmill do the work for you. I workout 45-50 mins a day 6 days a week. And remember to change up your workout every few weeks so you body does not get adjusted to the exercises.

I am posting this because I see alot of people confused and doing the incorrect thing to lose weight. If you are only 120 lbs and want to lose 10 pounds in a month...its going to be impossible. But if you are 300 lbs and want to lose 10 pounds in a month or two, that is defiantly possible!!

I started off almost 4 months ago at 339 lbs. I am now at 300 lbs exactly!! Lost 39 lbs in almost 4 months with hard work. So close to being in the 200's and 40 pounds lost. I haven't touched soda or any fast food, and don't have any cravings for it. I don't eat vegetables but still do great. I work out 6 days a week and leave sweating my ass off. I lost a lot of weight the first month and after that its been 1-2 lbs a week. Seeing the weight fall off, clothes getting too loose and others noticing my weight loss....is all of the motivation I need. I am not a professional and do not know everything about eating healthy and losing weight, but with what I have learned and dedication I am seeing results!

Good luck on your weight loss journey,

~Justin
