I'm making a new diary as i couldn't keep up with it,i've just started back at school...things are abit stressful right now.
I will weigh in once every 2 weeks and try to update =]]

i'm 5"3 and last time i weighed in i was 181lbs.I'm 14.

I havnt weighed myself for a while because being at school i think i've put some weight back on =/ so i know it'd be a downer.

I guess i'm starting again because i'm REALLY not happy with my body, it has left me with no confidence...i just want to look and feel great
I want to wear skirts and nice clothes and boys to look at me =]]
It makes me so sad.
I'm going to try and eat healthier and exercise for atleast 20mins everyday. and also drink 2l of water everyday.

I'd be very greatful if people would post any tips that have helped toward their weight loss :)

UPDATE-22 lbs lost w00t!

11 pounds is great! You are so young, you can still change your lifestyle, become more active and not have it be a big problem to adjust to the changes, it will be ingrained in you much better than in someone who started aged 30!

You want to tell us what you changed that made you lose the 11 pounds? I think everyone has their own approach to it, I have a special diet due to my food allergies, and I try to keep fit doing whatever exercise is possible at that very moment, usually I like to swim because it is low impact, trains many muscles and, best of all, you are not sweaty and yucky!! Very important if you live in Central Africa like I do (I only moved here 2 weeks ago, but man I sweat just walking from the kitchen to the living room!!).

You should read some of the stickies, in the nutrition section and the exercise ones too, I do not follow all of them, but some give you good ideas. I didn't know some things that I learned from there and it made the first half of my weight loss journey easier!

What I really recommend, especially at your age, is to engage in "fun" sports, like rollerblading, or a team sport. I used to dance ballet but it is really competitive between the girls and a very individual sport, then I joined the volleyball team and although I sucked (honestly I played matches very seldomly, because I was probably their worst player but nobody cared!), it was so much fun to have a team and to do teamy things, it did not feel like exercise at all! Maybe you could check out if there are any teams near your place, I know it is hard in the beginning, but once you are one of them, they will love you! And be so proud of you when you slim down easily and without having to think about it all the time.

Have fun and enjoy the ride, Camy
