My New Addiction!

I've forced myself into a new mindset over the past few months that challenging myself is pleasurable. I can't really describe it but this paradigm shift is my biggest personal achievement in a long, long time. Maybe its because my job hasn't been challenging me much but I've gotten hooked on creating new challenges for myself, creating mini goals for my mental and physical health, and pushing myself to achieve them. I've decided I want to learn Mandarin and I also want to be able to cycle a 100k fund raiser. I purchased the Rosetta Stone software for Mandarin and set mini goals of accomplishment on this every week and I have started to attend spinning class 3 times a week and cycle at home on a trainer for 1.5 hours 2 times a week (while listening to Mandarin lessons on my headphones). Accomplishing these mini goals every week has done amazing things to my self esteem, my mood and my personality and I am loving it. For my next mini goal I want to read Atlas Shrugged and actually understand the entire thing, then maybe work on my weight training and increase my strength. I suggest creating mini week long goals towards a bigger goal for everyone. Its amazing how good it can make you feel.

Lots of goals you've got set for yoursel.. take it one step at a time and you will get them accomplished...

Atlas Shrugged was a rather intense book -enjoy it...
