My Journey within the last 3 months

Progression from the last 3 months....

I wanted to let everyone see my progression as well.... I started working out and eating healthy @ the begining of May. I was not always obese I was 178 most of my life. I spiraled out of control when I went through my divorce, nerves caused me to eat and keep eating.... I am sure some of you know what I mean. I would eat whole pizzas , 3 whoppers w-fires and a shake 3 times a day. I loved to eat , what did it for me was when I could not get on rides at my local amusement park last summer it was so upsetting, I just could not fit on any of the roller coasters(love them). I also could not ride on the Go-Karts on my summer vacation last year with my nephew I was just to obese. I also have 2 daughters and I thought about my health and how bad I wanted to be here for them and see them grow up. I have a history of heart disease in my family so this was very serious for me I was a ticking time bomb that got super lazy. I decided to start watching my food intake around the begining of May and I have adjusted quite well. I do have 1 cheat day every week and eat whatever I am craving. This does not affect my weight loss @ all. I run at least 5 to 6 miles a day plus strength training 3 times a week. I hope I can give some hope and inspiration to some people that I have been reading about on this site. I am not quite at my goal yet but I will continue to work on it and update pictures quite frequently. I have made tremendous gains from reading everyones posts and I just wanted to say thanks and that you all have truly been a big help.

Looking great man! Congrats... you've made a great decision and your daughters will thank you much, MUCH later for it.

Plus, nice hat. I have the same one which I lift in. :)

You look fantastic! Well done!
Like you, I am losing weight for medical reasons...also, getting back into my size 4 clothes is a big inspiration too! <g>

Congratulations on your weight loss!

You're doing amazingly well!
Such a difference!
I can totally relate to the emotional eating. I've downed entire pizzas in one sitting myself...on too many occasions.

Your kids are the greatest reason to want to be healthy.
My fiance and I are both working on losing weight and getting healthier so we can be here to see our son grow up, and to teach him to live a healthy lifestyle.
No Happy meals for my boy!

We do cheat days once a week as well. I think it's important to do so. Before we decided to have one day a week to cheat, I was having such a hard time sticking to eating right and I'd give up all together and eat way too much crap and then feel bad about myself...which led to more eating.
Now it's better and it hasn't effected our weight loss either.

Keep up the great work! You're progress so far is a total inspiration!

Updated Pic

I finally got the nerve to put up a chest shot!!! I was very flabby 3 months ago! I felt like it was time that I can now go to the pool without keeping my t-shirt on and feeling self conscious. Just wanted to keep everyone updated! Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.:)
