Hello everyone... I've been reading a few of the journals on here and see that they have seemed to help a lot of people. So I decided to start one of my own :). I will admit i'm not too sure what to write about, I've gotten some ideas from everyone but I'm not everyone else lol. Ok well I have tryed to diet before but I flake after a month and I guess it's AFTER that first month that you start to lose weight. So i'm hoping that I will stick it through this time, I believe I can and I think thats really going to help. I still have dit-ups to do so I guess i'll leave it off here, I also need to find a scale so I can up date my ticker :D. Thanx in advanced to everyone taking the time to read this and reply back :).

Thank you for your words!!! :D i'm farely motivated today. It's a little grey and wet outside so I'm going to workout in side today. Today I'm working out my lower body. So that will be fun :D, I've made a mix CD I work out to :D. SO it helps me pass the time without having to think "am I done?" :D. I haven't had breakfast yet. My plan is to have a glass of orange juice, some whole weat things my mom got. They are called "Aussi Bites" I have to check how many cals are in them because last time I checked It was 130 something? I'll have to look whatelse is in the kitchen because I know some Juice and some small Aussi Bite isn't enough lol.
 
OK yay

I just got done with my 30 mintue lower body workout!! my last reps were SO hard but yay I worked through them all. I love how I feel after working out, what surprised me the most is about 1/2 way through I knew I was almost done and I didn't want to stop! :D. I worked out my calfs, thi's, and I guess my butt because it started to burn lol. For breakfast I had a glass of Apple juice, one of those 100Cal packs from chips ahoy. Then about 8 Rice cakes. All together about 210cals. I feel like that is too little but me and mom need to go buy more whole fruits. I'm going to help mom fertaliz (not sure how to spell it sorry) her Garden, which will also be a bit of a workout because we have a good 2 acre garden lol. I haven't made plans for lunch yet but I have a craving for Corn :p.
 
get some protein and veggies in to keep you full til tea time :)

I've hurd chicken is very good for you, Does it have to be a special kind of chicken? frozen or anything special like that? Also are frozen veggies ok? I don't mind eating a carrot straight from the store or anything but I'm thinking more along dinner time. I didn't end up walking to my friends b-day party because of the rain :(, then all they had their was soda so I just had a cola. After I was drinking it I rememberd that I just could have asked for a glass of water *dumb dumb me*. Other than that i've been cleaning my room :). Thank you for all your help Sophie335!!!
 
^ Frozen veggies are very good. Instead of them just sitting there inside a plastic bag waiting for you to buy them, they're frozen from the fields very quickly, keeping all their goodness inside.

Quorn chicken is nice and low in calories!

What exercises are you doing for both top and bottom? I'm not doing anything at the moment, cause.. well I haven't got a clue what to do!
 
I do...

Well today I do situps and my arms, I do 20 sit-ups in sets of 8 So i'll do, 20 normal sit-ups, then 20 for each side, 20 "row boats", and 20 fat bruning sit ups. I go through each of those till I've done 8 20's of each. For a normal sit up, I cross my legs in the air and rais my shoulder blads off the ground, hold for one then lower. After I do 10 of those I lower my legs and lift them up in the hair and lower them to where they bearly touch the ground 10 times. I then bend my legs and lift one leg over the other almost like i'm sitting in a chaire. Then I put the opposite hand to the bent leg behind my neck and lift my shoulder blands off the ground trying to touch the opposite knee. Then i do the same for the other side. Then my last ones, I lay down flat and place my hands plam down under my butt. Then I lift my upper body off the ground and pull my legs towards me. Once i'm done with those I turn on my music and finish my 30 minutes with my arm workout. I don't think I would be able to explain that very well lol. It's something I use to do on Dance Team.
Then tomorrow I do 20 lunges for each leg 8 times, Then I lay down on my side and lift my leg up in the air side ways 20times 8 sets. Also you can stand with your legs slightly wider than your shoulders with your feet flat on the ground, Crouch a little then lift one heel. Put it down then lift the other put it down and do 20 of those 8 times. Then if the weather is good I go out and walk for about an hour.There other things do but they are more bounceing around to music and feeling my legs brun lol.

I am glad you started a diary.

Good choices for food. You are doing a lot of body resistance training, but what are you doing for cardio? Cardio is the key to weight loss. Also, try to keep track of how much water you are drinking, 8 glasses is ideal.

Keep it up, you are doing great! And remember, if you have one bad day, its not the end of the world, just make it up the next day! :)
 
I've always HATED water but I am trying to drink more of it. As fare as cardio i ahve a dance vedio and music I do old dance routiens too. I'm also planning on doing the HIIT workout on leg days :). I couldn't find much for breakfast this morning :( so I had:
8oz Apple juice: 120cals
Chipsahoys: 100cal pack
Apple pis snack thing: 200cals
Total: 320cals :(... I'm hoping to have something better for lunch, Mom has a lot of food she wants us to eat first before we buy more. It's good healthy food but I think we all know, Not all healthy food tasts very good.

Wow thats a lot! I'm not doing anything lol. I just go for walks and that.. Does that help though? I might try it.
 
I wish I could tell you lol, This will be my 3rd day doing them. It does get easyer as you do them more and more. I don't have a scale so I have no idea if i've last weight. I doubt it at the moment since this is maybe my 4th or 5th day wroking out lol. Another little problem i'm having it i don't want to do my situps today :(, I'm thinking of going out and riding/training my horse for a while then coming in and doing it. I figure as long as i get it done today I'll do it when i'm not so "no i dun wanna!" about it lol. Walking is very good for you, i love walking but kind hard to get a buddy so it will seem like a chore sometimes but :p Sometimes i get buddies.

Fruite bar thingy: 80cals
another fruit thingy: 80 cals
Coffie bar: 120 cals
Total:280
Apple Juice: 120
Lunch
Fish N chips: no idea :(

Total today: 630cals?+ the fish n chips

Dinner

I had a chicken with Spinach: 180 cals
11oz water: none
a few bits of Dry fruit: ~10cals
Total: 190cals

Total today: 810cals + Fish n Chips
Thats not a whole lot... I don't feel Hungry but if i get hungry I can snack on some fruit :D.

OH OH I did my sit-ups!!! yay

You really don't want your calories to get too low, maybe 10-12 calories per pound of body weight - are you getting that?

You really don't want your calories to get too low, maybe 10-12 calories per pound of body weight - are you getting that?

Is that what you use to track your calories, m2m (i notice you use a pretty sophiscated counting system...and its probably in your journal some where on how you came up with it, but i'm too lazy to look for it :p
 
I've been "BAD"

:( :( I had MCy D's for lunch yesterday & today :( I don't feel too bad about it but I know I shouldn't have. However today when I got home I rode my horse for 2 hours, weeded garden 30minutes, and worked on Talent show dance for 30 minutes. So I was pretty active when I got home :D. I think I should do my situps but i'm going to wait a LITTLE longer lol. OH OH me and my best friend Bettyjo are trying out for the Talent show at our school. We're doing a hip-hop dance!! so that will get me more active :D. Bettyjo however is about 98lbs!!!!! :eek: I wish I could be that lol, She's just one of those small petite girls :). Lucky little brat, So yea I had mcky D's :( and now I'm out of money in my checking account. Thank god I have work on thursday :).
 
I have a bad feeling that the non-reponses are a bad thing. I hope not, no Mcy D's today! I had a fruit cup, banana, and fruit thingy lol. I had some vanilla ice cream when I got home but not a whole lot. I've had a horrible head ace all day and I believe I need to drink more. I drink about 11oz a day now sometimes a little more and thats a lot for me because I hate water lol, Doing better though :). I'm also on my period (sorry guys lol) so I'm craving really badly :'(. We're haveing a... fancy.. kind of Lunch thing tomorrow at school so i'm going to induldge but in portions. Sorry my spelling sucks tonight. Also I've notcied when I'm doing bending over work my back starts to hurt REAL badly :(. You think it could be from my situps? I don't use a mat b/c I don't have one :rolleyes: Maybe on my bed? it's softer... I don't think that will help though.
Oh and I didn't workout today but thats maily becaise I was busy with my dress and everything. I'll be taking pics so maybe I can post some and sort of have a Picture diary? lol:D
 
i think maybe your back pain could be because youve strained it whilst doing situps. you could have a go at some new abs exercises for a bit of variety that wouldnt put so much pressure on your back?

also .. for sit ups a swiss ball is really handy for taking pressure of the body. i bought one and it makes sit ups so much comfier
