Hi All,
I am so pleased i have found this site! I think its just what i need. I have had a look around and it seems like some good advice here!
I am 26 and weigh about 26 stone... I am incredibly unhappy with my weight. I have always been big but i am now at my biggest and need to do some thing about it. I have been to a few festivals this year, and haven't enjoyed it as i have been so conscience about the way i look and feel.
I have tried so many diets in the past, which just haven't worked for me. I am sure they have been good diets and if i had the will power to stick with them they would have worked, but truth is i haven't stuck to them. I have lost some weight then put it back on. Its nothing to do with the diet, its me!!
I dont have a "slow metabolism" or any thing medically wrong with me, i just eat too much and dont move enough!! I know this and i'm not kidding myself to thing any thing different!!
My biggest problem is i am lazy! I cant be bothered to cook properly a lot of the time.. Also i LOVE my food! I really enjoy eating! I get excited when i go shopping and am buying crap, knowing that i will be able to eat it later!!
But i need to change this now!! I am going to spend some time on this forum and see if i can find any diets that will help me! I need to do some thing that i know i CAN do. I need to be honest with myself and make sure this is the last time i have to diet!!!
I did the lighter life diet which is basically milkshakes and soup 4 times a day. I lost about 2 stone over 6 weeks. But the problem i had is, i only liked the chocolate milkshake (and when i say liked i mean its the only one i could stand!)!!! It worked well for me as i didnt have to think about what i was going to eat. The down side was only having the choc milkshake, after about 2 weeks i couldn't do 4 a day. I wasn't hungry and so i ended up only doing 3 packs a day... then only 2 packs.... in the end i was feeling ill the whole time!!! Again it wasn't the diet, it was me!!!
Any way, time for me to look around and see what i can find on here.
