My food additive reco

First thing in the morning I often have a scoop of Grape-Nuts cereal. I add some raisins, blueberries, cranberries or other anti-oxident dried fruit....just a bit. I add some low-fat soy milk to moisten. All in all it's probably about 170 calories total.

I used to add some wheat germ and sometimes some lecithin granules. Then some Oat Bran. Over time I found it really easy to just assemble all the key ingredients to my "cereal supplementation". I keep a large tub in the frig and use a scoop with my cereal each morning. My wife adds it to muffins, hamburger, even cookies!

There's a lot of really good fiber & healthy fats...it'll keep you full, keep you regular and give you some good nutrients. This is half my breakfast, in the next post I'll show you the drink I have...but for now, here's the "mix":

Lecithin granules
Wheat germ
Oat bran
Wheat bran
Flaxseed meal

After eating my cereal I'm thirsty.....so I take a tall glass and add some water, then:

Orange juice (or some citrus-based juice, no sugar added)
Pomegranate juice (or grape...anti-oxident stuff)
Green-machine juice (banana, kiwi, apple, mango, spirulina & LOTS of stuff)

Then a scoop of Green Vibrance <-- excellent stuff
Then 1/2-scoop Whey protein powder (cause ya need some protein too)

I eat the cereal, drink the drink and I'm good-to-go! I'll weight-train, bike for hours and it's all the perfect blend of healthy fats, healthy fiberous carbs and clean protein: excellent fuel!!! AND....it'll keep you feeling very content & full for hours!

Just sharing what works for me :D

That's cool.

What exactly does the lecithin do? I've heard of it before, but I didn't know there were any health benefits to consuming it.

Omega-6 fatty acids, supposed to be really good for you too. Interestingly enough, it adds a smooth buttery-taste, really good with oatmeal.

Just passing on something that works for me :D
