My first day

Well today was my 2nd day on my track to lose the weight i have gained over the past two years by sitting at my desk all day and then having a fiancee that eats whatever he wants and has let himself go also..i do not want to be the big bride walking down the alter i want my nice athletic body back. My goal is 160.

Today for eats

Breakfast manumuffin - which is like a bacon and egg mc muffin (my work place is killer for bad food!!!)

Lunch:
1 chicken breast
water - crystal light


Snack:
Cherries

Dinner,
1/2 cup of rice,
Steak
salade

went for a run

Snack before bed:
Nectorine..

is this good? any advice on how to have a good filling breakfast that isn't too fatty that's my weakness..and of course ice cream and candy!!!
 
Welcome, CBL. I am not the one judge of peoples eating habits, but it looks pretty balanced to me except you may want to throw in some dairy and more vegies maybe? Portion control is key for me over the last couple of weeks. Good Luck with your weight loss goals.

Glad you started a journal. How long until your wedding? Definately talk to your fiance about how important this is to you, if you haven't yet. His support will be great.

Here are a few breakfast ideas:

Oatmeal or oat bran with egg whites
Egg whites and whole wheat toast
Fat free cottage cheese and toast
Turkey bacon with high fiber, low sugar cereal

Hope those ideas help. Eating the right way is the most important part of weight loss.

Welcome to the forum!

Have a good breakfast is KEY for me to feel like I've gotten the day off to a good start as well as making it to lunch time without caving ;)

There are times when I will put the bulk of my daily calories into breakfast.

Generally though, I have yogurt and fruit, the past two days I've been having smoothies. Either way, I need protein to kick off my morning.

When is your wedding and what's your starting weight?
 
Hey and welcome! These journals are awesome ways to keep yourself accountable. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding and know that you can do this! I'm not health expert, but as Pineola said, it looks good! Well I hope the rest of your day goes well and congrats on making it through the first day...sometimes thats the hardest!

I'm really bad at breakfast eating croissants and muffins. Everyone keeps telling me eggbeaters :p. So I guess if your able to make yourself breakfast you can do eggbeaters, toast, and fruit. I'm not the best for advice on food :rolleyes: but it looks like your doing a great job. Just watch the portions and see if some weight starts coming off then go from there.

You also want to make sure that you always have a big ole glass of water or bottle of water that you are constantly drinking... The goal is usually 8 glasses of water a day, higher is better...

the ingredients of the work breakfast aren't that bad, but i'm sure the preparation are... (generally that griddle is slathered in oil for the eggs) If it's possible, skip the work breakfast and make it at home... you'll get healthier ingredients, you'll know what's in it, and you might even save a few dollars for you to buy a sexy new swimsuit for your honeymoon :)

Thanks guys,

I am in definate need of some good encouragement. It's tough i find that work makes it even harder to eat healthier as people bring in treats all the time. Today is going okay so far..i didn't go for my morning walk/jog but i have been drinking lots of water and eating fruits so far today.

This board is amazing..it brings more motivation.
