my body fat is 50.2%

Hello Moomin (I used to watch The Moomins too)

You've made a big first step by joining. Keeping a food log is one of the best ways for finding out where we are going wrong.

I hurt my knee jogging at 230lbs so there's another thing to consider when thinking of cardio.

You might want to consider lifing as part of your routine. A lot of women don't want to become 'big' but in all honesty it's extremely difficult for any woman to add significant muscle mass.

There are lots of helpful people on this site and many have lost 100lbs and more so the help is here. You already have the mindset - I know you can reach your goal.

It's doable for sure.

You'll probably be able to drop 15lbs the first month (or maybe twice) but after you'll probably slow down a bit. Most people do. 1-2% a week is a common goal. 1% is plenty fast enough for most people.

Anyone can plateau. The most important thing is to keep your food journal and keep accountable.

hey moomin.. i am also new here and trying to lose weight too.. i just want to wish you luck, and tell you that as you see there are lots of people who made it. why not us...
good luck..
