I figured I'd need to put these here. I've always been one to be less likely to fail if other people know what I'm trying to do.

At my heaviest I was 310 lbs, pictured here:

Now, here I stand: at about 250 lbs, after 10 or so lbs of weight loss(after a 30 lb gain)...ugh:

Sorry to make y'all look at my ugly face lol

I'm starting to have trouble again. It's winter break, and I'm pretty sure that's gonna make it a lot tougher to stay on track and I'm not sure I'll have too much time for the gym when I get back to school for Spring semester. So I was just kind of looking for advice. When I can't go to the gym, how far should I try running? Is 1 mile enough to start off at? And how many days a week should I run? I've always been a naturally athletic person so running was never all that difficult for me.

Regardless: After pics to come later :sifone:

Don't necessarily have a goal weight, I just don't want to look like a fat slob anymore.

Still a significantly noticable difference, so well done on where you got to and where you're still at even after this little blip. Not sure what else I can say to help motivate you, you've obviously made significant strides already- perhaps defining an actual goal and the steps taken towards that is the answer, rather that not having anything specific in mind?

Just sweat a lot and you know if it's a good place to start, :D sweat is the only way I know if I'm working hard enough. Or if my butt is sore, or something similar. Then I know I did pretty good.

I agree with Caiman, I think you should have defined goals so you have something to work toward instead of just a nebulous of hope. Pictures inspire me because I'm a visual person more than a numbers person, but sometimes I feel discouraged b/c whenever I lose like 5lbs I just gain it back because I never saw a difference. However, I've made mini-mind goals like reduce stretch marks or reduce jiggle in legs or reduce jiggle in arms, etc...

Oh, and you should probably eat something healthy before you actually go to a christmas dinner party or gathering, and then eat a little bit of what you absolutely love, and only chow down the veggies. Just food for thought :p

Just remember that weight loss is about 75% diet - so if you can't find time in your schedule to exercise, you will still be helping yourself a bunch if you make up for it by eating very healthy. Good luck, you can do it!!!
