My 8 Week Challenge

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all well!

I am going to be documenting over the next 8weeks and possibly further on about my journey.

Me and my fiance have set a challenge against each other to see who does the best. In all fairness we have no idea about how we are going to measure it at the moment but we are both competitive souls so why not.

Each week I am going to give you a breakdown of the adjustments I am making training and nutritionally wise so you can see exactly what I am doing.

So my starting health metrics are
Weight = 91.5
Blood Pressure = 122/90
RHR = 60

My starting nutrition stats are
Calories = 2400
Macros = P-200 C=250 F=67

My training stats are
4x Per week weight training - Upper/Lower Split
Cardiovascular work 2x per week
NEAT = 8000-10,000 steps per day but this won't include the fact I have an active job.

What up everyone. So just a little update for you all. I haven't changed much this week in all fairness. Everything you read above is pretty much the same in terms of nutrition and training. I honestly don't see the need to adjust anything if everything is moving in the right direction.

Last week - 91.5
This week (Sunday) - 90.6

I will post up about my blood pressure and resting heart rate tomorrow as I am not to sure what it has been. I know majority of the time I have looked at my RHR it has been sitting around 60 like normal.

How it all going everyone!

So, just a quick update for you all. I haven't changed anything again. I made some good movements this week in terms of measurements and weight so I saw no need to adjust anything. My next change will be the introduction of HIIT as calories are still relatively high and so are carbohydrates. One of the biggest things I see is people doing HIIT training and spending months on low carb which is actually counter productive with long term health.

So my stats are
First week - 91.5kg
Last week - 90.6kg
This week - 90kg

Calories and macros basically remain the same as what they did from week 1 :)
Blood pressure = 122/83
Resting Heart Rate - 60

Blood pressure I would like to be a little lower and I am going to work on this to ensure it is before I think about putting in HIIT training. Resting heart rate I am liking what I see and on an hour by hour basis is normally holding around this number as well (depending on what I have done).
Weight drops are slowing down so possibly from the end of this weeks check in with myself I will make the change needed to see a good movement!
