Muscle Soreness

Is it possible that the muscle was worked hard enough even if there is no muscle soreness the morning after?

I ask this because even though I feel im working out hard at the gym I dont get any (at the very most minimal) soreness the next day. Two weeks ago I started my bulk and after my first chest/tricep day i was sore for 3 days. After this weeks session, I wasnt sore at all even though I did the same routine, but with a slightly heavier weight.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments that would be great. Thanks

Yup, you can make great gains w/o ever getting sore... but you must track your progress, either with bf% or with your actualy numerical strength.

I'm with Mreik. I personally hate being sore the next day. The most important thing to keep in mind is if your weight (the weight you lift at the gym) is continually going up.

If you are lifting to failure in the gym and not sore the next day you are going to be fine for growth. I have soreness for the first couple of times and when I switch my program up it is back the first time and then no more after that until I switch again. Just make sure you are tiring the muscle right out when in the gym. That has always worked for me anyway.
