muscle groups

Yes you should always do the biggest lifts first, the ones that involve all the biggest muscle groups first, becuase they require the most energy and concentration.

For example I made a big mistake last night when I came back from a movie with freinds and wanted to rush my workout. I started off by doing over-head presses and then i started squating. When I squated i felt very weak in my shoulders and it was giving me a lot of greif and making it harder to lift. If I was to leave my squat for the last excersise I would struggle even more so it's important to do the biggest lifts first.

The biggest muscle in the human body is the Gleutus maximus (the muscle in our buttocks). Then i would say chest/shoulders then back/abs, followed by the hams and tricep/bicep. Funnily enough the strongest muscle in our body is the one we use to chew food.

i beleive the biggest muscle is the Quadriceps. I dont think its our but.
You can compare the quads to your other muscles and see that its pretty obvious. Im not sure just seeing if its true or not

What's the order of muscle groups from largest to smallest? Should you always lift in order from largest to smallest?

Yes, lift from largest to smallest but not because "they require the most energy and concentration." The reason we do this is because when you workout the larger muscle groups, smaller muscle groups are also being worked. For example, when you do lat pulldown or rows, which are lat exercises, the biceps are also being worked. When you do a set of bench press, it's not only your pecs getting a workout, but its also your anterior delts and triceps. Now, lets say you decide to do hammer curls as your first exercise. You do 3 sets and your biceps are fatigued. Then after this, you and do a a few sets of lat pulldown. Since your biceps are already fatigued, the amount that you can lift will be less than what you could've lifted than if you did lat pulldown first. Remember, compound exercises before isolation exercises.

Biggest is definitely the Gleutus Maximius, as stated by friendly giant.
