:newbie:Hello all I am new here... looking for some additional motivation I have hit a plataeu and now going the gym by myself (my workout buddy moved out of state) I am losing all interest but still want to lose weight. But I seem to have lost most of my motivation I still work out each day but not the 1-2 hours I was. Now it varies from 30min to 1hour possible sometimes less. When my buddy was here she did not go everyday with me, but I guess the thought of just having someone to talk to and work out with at times helped me more than I realized. Since starting my endeavor on May 11,2008 I have lost 36lbs slow and steady. So all the encouragement I can get is needed. May be looking at this and seeing all the postive thoughts each day will help my motivation or it there is any one in my area maybe we can help each other.

36 pounds is good. Slow and steady is better than fast weight loss. When it's done over the long haul it tends to stay off. I think you're doing fine. Also, any time in the gym is better than no time. I try to go 3-4 times a week, and most of the time it's at lunch time where I can only do around 35 minutes. That time is spent 15 minutes in cardio and 15-20 minutes working with weights. Sometimes the whole 35 minutes is cardio. It gives me a great mind boost, too.

Hi and welcome to the site. This is a great place for mitivation. Starting a diary can help lots. Here are some quotes I put together and keep at my desk and around my house for motivation.

Good luck!!!!!
