motivation tip!

Try and take a picture of yourself which is really unflattering, like a really bad one which shows all the fat you want to lose, and print it out.
Now keep that pic with you whenever you can, and when you are exercising or about to eat something you shouldnt, stop and look at that pic and hopefully if you are serious about dieting it will put you right off the food and give you more determination to exercise and eat right.
It might seem a bit over the top but you should try it really. You could also write something to motivate yourself on/next to the pic as well.
It works for me really well, i have mine folded up in my back pocket lol.
Just trying to help!

Im too terrified that i would loose it and somone i know would find it:eek:
but it is a good idea, I keep a coin in my pocket that says "its good to be free" and when i feel tempted i rub it and remember what i am trying to get free from.........and it helps.
do what works!!!!!STAR

I've been doing something similar. lol, I haven't been telling anyone I'm doing it, but I might as well say it now. I've been taking random pictures of myself in everyday stances. Like I'll take a picture of myself laying down, or standing up in the kitchen, or sitting on the couch. Juuuust so I can see how fat I look in those positions that we don't normally see ourselves in all the time. And let me say that it has been an eyeopener. I don't FEEL that fat, but I am massive, its incredible that people allow me to be this fat without saying how crappy I look. lol.

I've also been video taping myself exercising. And there's a mirror at Curves and I always make it a point to look in the mirror while I'm exercising just so I can see how fat I am.

It has been VERY motivational, I keep thinking "I can't look like this anymore". Of course, after I take the pictures I delete it from the camera. I don't think I have the balls to print them out yet. lol.

When I first decided to diet about 6 years ago, I took pictures every time I lost 10lbs and what helped me keep the weight off was looking at the heaviest pictures.
