morning fitness program?

Hi everyone,
I've been training on and off for three years. I had a good period of 12 months in the gym when I stuck to my program and lost 24kg (about 52 pounds), and then I kept on going to the gym, but just to maintain my weight. I now want to gain some muscle, and I had an idea that I wanted to ask people here about.
I have hand weights and about 50kg of weight at home, and a bench to work on. I was thinking about starting a program where each morning I would do 6 exercises or so, one for each major muscle group, with each exercise having 2 sets, 3-4 reps, heavy weights (training to fail). My goal is to become stronger and build mass.
The reason I prefer this to the gym is:
1. Takes less time each day; almost no preparation time and travel time to the gym and back.
2. I tried it a couple of times and I do feel my muscles sour after this, but not too much, so I think it will work.
3. Helps me kick off the morning with higher testosterone levels, which I believe will affect my metabolism for the rest of the day.

I will appreciate anyone's input on this idea.

Thanks,
Ido Kalir

If you want to work out in the morning, that's great. I think it's an awesome way to start your day. However, of greater concern than this...
3. Helps me kick off the morning with higher testosterone levels, which I believe will affect my metabolism for the rest of the day.
is that your metabolism will be elevated for probably 24-48 hours following serious weight training sessions, not that you're doing it in the morning for that day. Ultimately, the timing doesn't really make much of a difference.

That being said, I'm not sure what you mean by "hand weights." Is that a barbell?

In the interim, go look at the weight training 101 and making a routine stickies. You'll be able to find good routines in there, though your choices will be limited if you are not willing to join a gym.
