Thanks!

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill today and 15 minutes of abs.

I'm totally pumped for the season premier of the Biggest Loser tonight...it's been a huge motivator for me since it first aired and it's what got me into the gym 4 years ago.

I woke up dizzy and feeling like crap this morning. My guess is that is has something to do with the Fenugreek I'm taking to up my milk supply..

Anyways, I haven't done my cardio yet today. I'm thinking I will feed my baby, do some house chores and then hop on a bit before hubby gets home from work. I keep putting it off because I'm not in the mood..I loathe cardio. If I could lose weight by just lifting weights I would be in heaven. I know cardio targets the fat though..err!

I'm more excited to get into the gym tonight to do my weights though. :)

When I was at the gym the other night, I was approached and asked if I like to do exercise classes...and I don't. The only classes I've tried were yoga and boxing, which I didn't mind, but it's not something I'd stick with because I'm not hugely interested in it...just give me my weights *LOL*

Wow.

This forum is definately not like the other forum I used to be on...my journal used to be flooded with comments and support and no one comments on journals here.

Does anyone know of any other forums where people are more supportive of people trying to lose weight?

I don't know about anyone else but this is the only website I frequent for support/to write in a diary. We do actually offer support on here but sometimes the forum isn't particularly busy or people only have time to post on certain peoples diaries.

Sorry you're not feeling very supported on here--Often people only get time to check on a few diaries a day so maybe just give it a little while and keep posting and you'll get some regular readers but if you're wondering about something in particular it's a good idea to post a specific post in another section of the forum for specialised advice ^_^

Hope you keep posting and trying to lose weight--Even if people don't always post, a lot just read so you're not being ignored, maybe people just don't have any advice to give you.

Good luck with your weight loss!! xxx

I managed to lose 6 pounds last week which is a good start. I'm still struggling with motivation. I haven't been getting to the gym as much as I'd like either because my baby refuses to take a bottle so I can't leave her for long periods of time. I'm extremely depressed over my weight lately and wish I could afford to hire my personal trainer back, but with me on maternity leave, that is out of the question right now. I really want to start trying for our second baby summer 2011, but I want to get at least 50 pounds off by then.

I'm still struggling. I had a major breakdown last night because I feel alone. I don't have any support in this and I just can't seem to keep this going. Sometimes I just feel like "what's the point?" but other times I feel extremely driven and ready to tackle anything. My moods regarding weight loss seem to fluctuate all over the place at the moment. I know one thing. I'm sick of being fat.

I'm one of those people that needs to be pushed or given a pat on the back for any accomplishment I may make. I know I need to do this for myself, but it's hard. I've struggled with my weight my whole life.

WED - did 30 minutes on the treadmill, 50 squats and 100 situps
TODAY - did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 100 situps

I'm planning on starting up at the gym again on Monday. I will admit and say that I will feel humiliated walking back in there since I've put on quite a bit of weight.

All I can do is take it one day at a time.

I've changed some of my foods around so hoping it makes a difference on the scale.

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: rolled oats cereal w/ skim milk and a banana
Snack: 1/2 whole wheat bagel w/ light cream cheese
Lunch: salad, 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 pcs cheese, apple
Snack: grapefruit & handful of almonds
Dinner: chicken breast, small yam, 1 1/2 cups green beans
Snack: low fat pudding and protein shake

Wow, I completely forgot about this forum! I'm back now though. Things are different this time around. I started doing the workouts from Beachbody (21 day fix and Country Heat) and have been having pretty good success with it. My favourite part about it is that I don't have to count my calories or figure anything out and the workouts are 30 minutes but very intense. It's good for me because my life is hectic. I have 2 daughters, run a home daycare business and my own photography business. I've struggled with weight my whole life, but this seems to be working!! Please feel free to message me if you want more info about it.
