Que?? Only one sandwich yesterday? LOL You've had yourself some excellent food days!

I think its a great idea to flat out avoid all fast food for a while. Nothing's forever but its a good habit to break if it was indeed a habit. I rarely eat fast food as I find it pretty nasty. And not that I"m a health nut but its just poor quality food in general. Yesterday I got BK in the airport as the choices were limited and sure enough it was gross. I should've gotten a sandwich instead HAHA.

So how are you keeping the motivation going this time around? I'm really impressed..

Yes, it was definately a habit and it definately needed to be gotten rid of.

I've kept motivation this time around so far. Mainly because my mom was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I realized how much my health is putting in harms way. Im only 21 years old and I dont want to live the rest of my life with that disease, and I definately dont want it to shorten my life.

Also, I NEVER exercised before. If someone asked me to walk with them to the park, or to the store. I always found a reason to take the car. I recently started exercising and I noticed right away the change it made in my energy level, stress level and attitude. I have been walking for atleast an hour every day of the week and riding the exercise bike for 2 miles every day of the week and I started to feel a LOT less stressed, I have more energy and my attitude is better.

Staying on track with eating also has to do with my exercise. When I come home from exercising and I feel myself wanting to eat junk food. I say to myself I did NOT just do all that exercising to eat shitty..so instead of having
reese puffs I have some special K or corn flakes.

I might as well start today's journal, while Im here :)

You sound so dedicated to the exercise now. That is a great change for you and you sound really disciplined. Just keep us in mind if you start to slip up a bit, that's when people need us the most but honestly that's the time when people around here disappear. We always get the dieters starting off and gung ho going strong. All of a sudden we dont see them anymore and then several months later they may reappear telling us how they totally stopped exercising and eating healthy and went back to every one of their prior bad habits (and gained every lost pound back). Hoping this will not happen to you, but be weary of the time when your motivation may start to wain a bit. Better to know it could be coming and think about ways to defeat it then let it take you by surprise as it has with the majority of our members (I would guess at least 75% of them unfortunately).

My high point today was when I realized that it takes me a lot longer of a distance to make me feel tired. I used to walk half way to the park by my house, which is roughly a 8 minute walk and I would be exhausted, so I would take a break once I got there. Im walking an hour at a time now without feeling like I need to take a break, this made me feel REAL good today when I realized what I was doing :) and its becoming natural for me to eat better instead of feeling like I have to force myself to eat better.

Hey! Really glad you're still doing your thing!

I love that feeling of being healthy becoming easier! Enjoy!
