Hello everybody.
My name is Samantha and I am 17 years old and have dealt with overweight issues pratically all my life. So after doing a little research, I've decided that Im gonna do the Lemonade Master Cleanse... I am currently slipping into that diet by eatting little by little food, day by day to keep some of my protiens and upping my lemonade servings.

Height: 5'3 and a half
Current Weight: 175
Goal Weight: 135-140

:D

Wish me luck!

Samantha..you didn't do the right research if you think that is the answer. Detox is a myth. You won't lose weight and at 17, you could do some very real damage to yourself that you will live with for the rest of your life. This isn't the way to lose weight and keep it off. You will see some change on the scale but it will just be water. It will come right back and them some.

Please..put that crap away and take some time to look at the other posts on the forum that has REAL advice and information for you.

I agree with Jericho. It's awesome that you are motivated and ready to lose weight, but this isn't the proper way to do it. There are loads of people on here that will help you out if you need advice, and I'm confident with a good, healthy plan you can make a positive change to your body :)

It may not be the healthiest or the most brilliant type of diet, but its more like just a diet to help me start off with. I mean, my body really does need a good cleanse and it will help me lose the hunger for most of these food I don't need to be snacking on.
I'll probably switch off to another diet after a week or so.

Thanks for the concern you guys.
If you have any other successful diet plans, please feel free to write them down, I'm totally all for trying out new diet plans. :)

Hey hun--I have to agree with all the other advice given here. You don't need to follow a "diet programme" so to speak. Use this calculator:

Find out how many calories you need to be eating to lose a healthy amount of weight per week and add in some exercise. This needs to be a lifestyle change and not a fad diet.

If you have researched you should have found articles such as these:

"You are inhibiting your immune system, as well as your ability to process food.

"Purposefully irritating your gastro-intestinal tract is never a good idea, but salt water flushing actually removes healthy, helpful bacteria from the lining of your colon. By engaging in this practice for an extended period of time, you are effectively wiping out one of your first lines of defense against infection and sickness."

"In addition, prolonged fasting has many negative side effects, including all the symptoms that go along with malnutrition: insomnia, cravings, nausea, depressed mood, hair loss... the list goes on. Proponants of the Master Cleanse will tell you that these are signs that the toxins in your body are being eliminated, but you would experience the same symptoms on a water-only fast.

Once you start eating again, you may suffer bloating, constipation, and/or acid reflux, as your body is unused to processing food and has to re-learn how to digest it."

Hopefully you'll realise this cleanse is a load of crap and will stop before you do yourself some damage! Take care

Your body doesn't need cleansing. I really don't know where you got this information. Also, stop thinking of 'diet plans'. This isn't the way to make life long changes. I assume you want to keep the weight off, then what you have to do is make changes in your lifestyle. Instead of 'cleansing' and 'diet plans', start with something very simple.

write a food diary for one week.

That's it. That's your first step. You write down what you eat (and that's everything) for one week. Don't try to make changes yet, just be honest. Also, write down how you are emotionally since a lot of weight problems are connected to emotional eating. After one week, we can look back at your diary and make changes.

Weight loss isn't hard per say. The real information is there. The knowledge is here. The key is your mental state as far as stepping forward. Please, change your viewpoint with this stuff. Detox really is a myth. Your body is perfectly able to clean itself by itself. You have let advertising and false information lead you to a bad choice. There is no, and I do mean no, medical studies or even scientific reasoning that leads to this stuff being true. The only time you see a doctor endorsing this stuff is to make a buck.
