Hi there everybody !
Am thinking of starting my own blog on a new concept to weight loss, which has worked really well for me. Would be nice if you could give me your thoughts.
After stop starting many fitness and weight loss courses over the years, all of which I failed, I began to think why did I keep failing. My last programme I tried was Joe Wicks 90 day plan. I was super excited to start, the course looked great and I was confident I was about to get the results I craved for. 2 weeks in I fail again, unable to stick to meal prep and obstacle in modern general life. This made me think what if I concentrated on my mindset first before I started off on a lifestyle change. Too many of these programmes we purchase tell us the perfect scenario on how to do things, but never take in to account real life situations. No advice on what to do or overcome problems such as ordering the weekend takeaway which then becomes all weekend
So in november last year I started tracking myself in 3 different aspects of my lifestyle change, Mindset, Nutrition and Exercise. I found that concentrating on when I go wrong and fall off the wagon as we all say, gave me more focus on how to recover from my mistakes instead of sticking my head in the stand. This gave me a sense of great accountability towards my actions. It also helped me realise that you can never stick to 100% to a plan or diet, but if you can see progression even a little bit it creates more motivation to carry on your journey. As of now my lifestyle change is going well, but not perfect. I am still having the odd wobble whether its with my food or exercise but putting my mindset in the fore front of it all is helping better than just following these programmes that people are selling online.
Do you think I should start my own blog which will provide tips and advice on how to overcome barriers we come across in our fitness/weight loss journey and how to motivate ourselves when were feeling down, setting realistic goal that we CAN achieve. Let me know your thoughts thanks
