Is there any ways to help or "nudge" your metabolism to get it faster, mine is really slow and has been ever since I can remember. even certain exercises? Any advice or tips??

Hello i'm new to this site just started but i have alot of experience within nutrition etc.

To speed up your metablism nibble little and often the good foods and your body will burn it off quicker.

From Holland and Barratt buy Green Tea Extract Capsules 750mg ones they cost just under £20 1 a day and you get about 100 so obviously lasts 100 days this will take about 2 weeks to get into the system obviously but having one of these capsules is like consuming 7 cups of green tea a day and green tea is a fat burner.

Put on muscle mass.

No pill or anything is going to increase your metabolism to the point where you lose significant amounts of body fat. Meal frequency will also NOT increase it.

How do you know you have a slow metabolism?

I had a nutritionist tell me that small meals works, having 5 small meals instead 3 big meals but i just want other people opinions.

It may help by providing satiety not increasing your metabolism. A lot of dieticians and nutritionists out there are still preaching this. It is wrong. I suggest you go see a different Nutritionist.

Just wondering if you have anything to support your responses, I would like to read up on it. The nutritionist i have seen, is the ONLY one available at my current location for me...and traveling to see another one is not a option :( , but i really don't like the guy ...so I would love to see the proof to back this up

I agree with HyungJun - Put on muscle mass. You're pretty much wasting your time and possibly money otherwise.

I have a really high metabolism. Had it tested a year ago, and then again two weeks ago. Very high.it's because I move around constantly. Even though I sit in an office at work, I offset that by doing a workout in the morning and also an hour walk regardless of what I do in the workout, I always still do an hour walk in morning. Then at lunch I either do a light workout or a walk and in the evening no matter what has happened during the day or what is planned for the evening, I do another hour walk. I don't break speed records and I don't sweat during these walks but my metabolism is very high. So I dont care what anyone says, consistent MOVEMENT = high metabolism!!!
