Metabolism question

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, so if I posted in the wrong area, forgive me.
My question is; I walk 2 miles a day. I have heard that eating after a workout/excersize will stall metabolism, BUT, will drinking water?
Thank you for any input.

hmmm... good question... and I dont think I have the answer, so I will probably need to defer, but I wanted to post some kind of answer so that you didn't think we were ignoring you!

I do know that I eat breakfast after my run in the morning... and drink water as I go... so I would be interested in hearing the response too..

forgive me but i cant remember for the life of me where i read this but you're supposed to drink water before you eat and not untill an hour after, and drink water as you are exercising to keep you hydrated :D
 
I've also heard, drink ice cold water b4 you eat, start 30 min b4 you eat and drink all 32 ounces! then eat...... not sure about exercise.... oh wait... I have read do not eat RIGHT b4 exercise, or you are just burning the cals you just consumed.....
