This is the lifestyle plan that I am on.

I read about it in the DM and it just resonated with me.

Here are the links

Part 1

Part 2

WARNING SIGN #1: The word revolutionary. Whenever I see that, I say scam.

I looked over this plan and it still comes down to the same thing..calories in vs calories out.

WARNING SIGN #2: Eat carbs and still lose weight..That is ad talk. See Just like every 'fad' diet, Carbs became the evil thing. We have heard that about fat, about sugar, about eggs, about dairy..etc.

If this works for you, great, but all it is is the same old tried and true calories in vs calories out. You don't need to pay someone like this to do what is commonly known. If you eat less calories and burn more calories, you will lose weight.

BTW..there is no such medical thing as Metabolism B..it's a buzz word created by this woman to sell her program.

I'm sorry, I hope this is working for you but there is a reason the diet industry makes so much money.

No need to apologise, we are all entitled to our own opinion.

I think a plan that tells you to eat more vegetables, less processed carbs and do more excersise is pretty on the mark really.

Also the age old adage of calories in vs calories out doesn't always ring true.
I know because in the past I have existed on 1200 calories a day and killed myself at the gym only for my weight not to budge.

I was then diagnosed with PCOS and syndrome X, I gave this article to my GP and he suggested it sounded very good.

your weight might have not been fat but muscle gain..

However..yes you are right. Eat more veggies, less carbs and working out is good. It's the food pyramid.

If your doctor says this is good to go, then definately do it! Doctor > any opinion some stranger on the net has :)

your weight might have not been fat but muscle gain..

I wish it had of been, my trainer measured my body fat once a month and no budge (one month I went up though !).
I was doing cardio and weights with him 3x a week, gym on my own x2 a week and Chalean Extreme every day too !

I got so upset as my trainer said I must be cheating and going off his eating plan, when I was sticking to it like glue.

His meal plan was heavy on good carbs though, and it was before I got diagnosed with PCOS.
So fingers crossed this one continues to work.

I hope this works for you!! Even though I do believe in metabolism is a key factor in weight loss, there has to be a good nutrition plan involved with it.

Does anyone feel as I do?

I've read on what this woman is suggesting and it's really just another name for "insulin resistance."

The key to this is whether or not you have insulin resistance and whether this will help you figure out the weight loss plan for you.

IF you have PCOS and insulin resistance associated with it, then any diet that lowers your carb intake, promotes whole foods, and exercise, will help you lose weight.

For those who are not insulin resistance, the diet may work because it's a question of lower calories.

If your doctor thinks it's good to follow, then go ahead. But this is a diet that's been in existence for a long time, I think it just get repackaged in a different name every few years -- it's also became popular back in the day as "The Zone", "Atkins", "Sugar busters" and other names.

But once again, this plan is a life long plan and it's done for health reasons, not only weight loss.

I have PCOS too and I've had to learn the hard way to make food work in my favor.

I've been trying something called calorie shifting. It's helped speed up my metabolism and so far have gotten pretty good results. It allows me to eat throughout the day as long as I do it moderately

Folks who say "Calories in=Calories out" do not understand the 1st law of Thermodynamics. The Cal in = Cal out is a bill of goods sold to the unsuspecting by diet rip-off artists who do not take into account the chemical efficiency of "the Machine", or in this case, the wildly complex Biochemical and Genetic components of the Human machine. It is not simply Cal in=Cal out, bow the body conducts thermogenesis is so complex that no-one really, IMO, understands it. Enter the "Gurus" looking for a buck. Different foods affect different metabolisms, period. You need to find what works for you-that is, what kind of diet your body responds to. For me, the best result is following Atkins-however, I also have to watch portions. I dropped 60 pounds that way.
