Men's Health Workout/Diet?

Was just wondering if anyone would mind checking out this link I found regarding an abs workout routine and diet from Men's Health. I'm trying to get back into the gym (and do some home exercises) so I can drop some of the fat and get the tone and muscle back, but having a hard time coming up with my own plan, so thought this might be a good gig? Any suggestions would be *greatly* appreciated.

Is this page the one with the training you'll be following?

If so then IMO it looks OK but there are too many exercises and a little too much iso stuff.
But then again that's the Mens Health way, just look at the model they used on the page - great abs, rubbish shoulders, no traps and what looks like a pretty skinny back. The guy's a weak as an American lager and I think the routine they've posted here reflects that physique

I don't see why they've put all the targeted abs stuff before squats, I'd have thought that the abs stuff should go at the end. You don't want to be squating with a tired core. I'd also try and get some lower rep, higher set stuff in there too.

EDIT:
I may have been a little hard on the routine, it isn't that bad at all, I just have a hatred of Mens Health and that whole "abs and biceps are the only important muscles" philosophy they seem to have. I still think the schedule is too 'busy' though and the abs stuff should go at the end

Oh I definitely agree with you that the abs workout should go at the end and that it seems a bit too busy, I'm mainly just asking about the types of exercises that it has and the diet that it talks about. I definitely plan on adding my own workout routine to it (including more upper body, legs, etc.), I just wanted to see if the type of info they were giving would work towards actually trying to get that "nice six pack"! :)
