Alright, I've procrastinated enough! I'm starting a journal on here!

Highest Weight: 190
Starting Weight: 183
Current Weight: 179
I just began my New Year (as I like to call it) on September 1st.
I am a member of TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) and we meet and weigh in every Tuesday. Since I do not own a scale that is the only day I can see where my weight is at.
Tuesday the 1st I was at my starting weight of 183.
Tuesday the 8th I was at 179! A 4 pound loss for the week and I won the basket of fruit!
Today is day 10.
I had wanted to wait 21 days before adding in a "cheat" meal (because I heard that's how long it takes to make/break a habit.) Unfortunately friends from work planned to go to dinner tonight at Moxie's. At first, I wanted to pick something healthy but they do not have nutritional info available and everything looked rather fattening so I figured, why not just have something I'll enjoy?
I had a cheeseburger and yam fries but only ate half the cheeseburger. Ate a bit more fries than I should have, but oh well! At least I didn't have any alcoholic beverages!! (Which reminds me, if anyone is actually reading this and made it this far: I would love any advice you have about alcohol and eating healthy. I know I can't go forever without drinking... I have been thinking about using alcohol like a "cheat" meal... thoughts? Suggestions?)
Kind of a boring start, I guess... but there will be more posts!
I am DETERMINED and MOTIVATED like I've never been in my life especially when it comes to weight loss. Sometimes it's difficult but I keep trying to remind myself of the outcome. It's a little difficult since I've never felt thin or happy with my weight... but I can imagine that it would feel amazing!
