Meal Plan Time....wat yall think?

Hey guys after asking a few questions and wat not Heres wat I am thinking my meal plan will be, again its not rly totally worked out u kno. Lemme kno wat you think and be honest on wat I am donig wrong I am a newb lol.

Meal 1: CHeerios w/ 2% and 3 Egg Whites

Meal 2: Apples w/ Peanut Butter and Grapes

Meal 3: Chicken Breast w/brown Rice

Meal 4: Some Nuts, And assorted Fruits.

Meal 5: Chicken Breast or Some Hamgurer Meat (very lean) or some steak and maybe a baked patato.

Mea1 6: Protien Shake 40g per Serving ( i usually can only work out at night)

Thinking as a sub. for a snack or something or even a lucnh meal. 100% Whole Wheat Bread and some peanut Butter with some nuts.
Therefore I get my protien as well as my fiber which I need to stay regular lol. Wat are some good carbs to eat cuz I cant just eat only protien. And any other ways to get more fiber. Meal 6 will change periododicly. As sometimes With my work and school hours, I go in the afternoon mornings and sometimes nights so we'll how that works. But lemme kno wat yall think alrgiht. If I need mor protien...got ot much..more carbs..less whatever. Open to any opinion. Thx for readin guys.

3 egg whites is only about 9 grams of protein - have at least 6.

You need protein with every meal - PB is NOT a source of protein, it's a source of fat. Replace the PB in Meal 2 with some tuna or chicken.

Meal 3 is fine.

For meal 4, I would suggest having veggies instead of fruits, and you need a serving of protein with that meal - again, some tuna, chicken, eggs.

Meal 5 is fine.

With your protein shake at Meal 6, have some dairy like cottage cheese for the casein protein - this will help prevent your body from going catabolic while sleeping.

You should be getting sufficient fibre from the Cheerios, rice, fruits, and veggies - I don't think you need to worry about that.

And like I said above, bread + PB isn't good because it's carbs + fat, NOT carbs + pro. Unless you're eating 5 tablespoons of peanut butter at once (500 calories), it's to be used in the diet as a souce of fat.

Other carbs to add to your diet: oatmeal, cream of wheat cereal, sweet potatoes.
 
I have a question about eggs...are hard boiled eggs good for you instead of just egg whites? I had 2 this morning just wondering if thast ok.
 
I though that natural PB was high in protien? Honestly, Im gunna take this one step at a time u kno. Im trying not to be to hard on myself. I figure a lil pb sometimes and a slice of bread wont ruin my diet for hte day. Considering wat I used to eat =/ This is a complete life style chage haha. And as far a hard boiled, I thought that was fine. All I eat are hte whites anyways, I just perfer Hard oiled over w/e else. Also wats casien protien? that different from just regualar protien? ANd even in a high protien diet, doesnt my body still need atleast a lil fat and carbs, I though I might as well get whole wheat and save a llil on the wihte, and get pb wit some nuts of something. And as far as veggies, man im really trying haha, honestly, I never eat them, never did when i was younger nor now. I tryed a tamato and it was alright I guess. Oh well, time for a change rgiht lol. Thx for the help sprock!
 
My biggest problem is getting together something for dinner. Iam thinking tonight steak baked potatoe and some brown rice maybe some spinach hows that sound? And Also how much of each should I be eating? My biggest problem before my diet was consuming to much at the table. Also dinner for me is about 7pm I like to try and eat once more around 10pm before bed. Whats a good before bed meal?
 
booboo - steak is protien so good as is spinach. spock has is nailed for a bedtime snak; cottage cheese. For me, I try to calorie taper during the day. I eat 5-6 meals and the first 3 are about the same in calories, then a drop 100-200 calories making the last one the smallest of the day.
 
2 Tablespoons of PB have 8 grams of protein - not high enough if that's your only "source" of protein for the meal. As I said, you'd have to have about 500-calories worth of PB to get sufficient protein for one meal - and that's really just silly.

If you hard-boil the eggs, just eat the whites and discard the yolk.

You're getting enough carbs + fats in your diet plan - you don't need to worry about it.

Casein protein is slower absorbed by the body than whey protein - so it's good to have before bed since you'll be fasting for the 8 hours that you're sleeping.

I agree with Markeaton about tapering meals - I do the same, with carbs as well as calories.

Booboo - for the supper that you mentioned - choose either the rice OR the potato - no need for both. Just load up on the spinach. And be sure the steak is Top Round; it's almost as lean as chicken.
 
plus pb isnt a complete protein. you have to eat it with whole wheat bread to get all the amino acids. ;)
