Can we say a combination of the Grapefruit diet and Atkins. This diet focuses on eating a grapefruits or eggs before or after each meal and your meals consisting of large portions of meat and fat.This diet is usually three or seven days in duration.

This diet, I would consider a fad diet. Here are some signs that an eating plan is a fad diet:

-Ruling out of entire food groups
-"Unlimited" consumption of anything high in fat or sugar
-Promotion of increased caffeinne intake
-No variety or extremely strict rules
-Certain food combinations to "burn" fat
-Promising that certain foods increase your metabolism

This diet says that you can lose 52 pounds in 2 months. However, eating this way you can gain back the weight you loss plus then some.
