Maximum Heart rate

I've been bike riding now for 5 months and ride 3 to 4 times a week averaging about 150km per week. I wear a heart rate monitor and averagre about 150 BPM. when I started riding my maximum heart rate was 180bpm but on rides where I do a lot of hill work it now peaks at 196 bpm.

I'm 43 years of age and since I started riding have lost 12 kilo in weight and still need to drop another 6 to 7 kilo so the riding is working well but I'm have a few concerns about the max heart rate increases that I'm seeing.

Look forward to your feedback as to whether the increase in my max bpm is good or bad
