My workouts are composed primarily of boxing and kickboxing workouts, and I would recommend bag work, skipping, or shadow boxing to anyone. It's great cardio, and it makes you sweat like nothing else if you can focus on your technique and speed. I know a lot of people wear just wraps with the heavy bag, but I find I can do a lot more when I wear gloves, too.
