I Think This Will Help When New Males Join So They Will Not Feel Like They Are Among All Of Us Hens! So I Need One Of You Roosters To Be In Charge Of This Thread And Push The Others!:):):):)

that is fine with me ocire it is up to you guys i dont think chip has a lot of time right now!

We could talk about our PR's (personal records) in the GYM. How much you've benched, how long you can ride on the bike, how long you can run, etc. How big your biceps has goten since you work out, how much blubber you've lost from your waist, etc.

Or we can write our goals.

I'll start. My goal is to lose 1 inch from my waist, gain one inch on my biceps and 2 inches on my neck. I'm shooting for the Grecian ideal :)

I haven't been keeping track of my measurements. I just plan to keep losing weight until I'm happy about my weight. Right now I'm 183. I'm hoping by this coming September I'll be at least 160 pounds.

Hey Guys

Hey Guys, I'm not doing well at all. I eating way tom many sweets. What do you guys don when you are out of control, and I'm out of control.

Chip

@Ocire - how tall are you? I'm about 6 fT and weigh 81kg (181lbs maybe)

@troutman - what works for me
1. eat the right foods first. If you are full, you won't be eating taht much junk food.
2. don't have junk food at home. Sooner or later you will eat everything that you have boughtor have at home. I you don't have candy in the fridge, you won;t be eating it.
3. If you've gotta have some candy, stop at one or two, don't eat a whole bunch of them

I didn't understand your last post :)

I think he means they pretty much own us. *sniffle* It's the sad, sad truth. As for my height, I'm only 5 foot 3 inches. I also have little muscle mass (I'll be working on gaining that later) so 183 pounds isn't great looking on me. It beats the 223 pounds from 3 months ago though. :p

I only started yesterday, but what i've found to stop food cravings is drinking water. I'm not a big water drinker, so it's had to drink a gallon a day but it's worth it to your body. Try to replace food with water. I know it's easier said than done, but try it.

Ocire, 40 pounds for 3 months is fantastic! Be sure to start with the weights. If you take in enought protein and lift often, you'll be able to use some of the energy from your bodyfat to build muscle.

sdpet, Hope all is going well for you. How are you doing on your weight loss? My wife is half Aussie, are you from Australia?

I'm Worried

Hi Guys, Am I the only one who, when they are dieting then for some reason your not dieting for a couple of weeks. What I do; I eat everything in sight & gain 10 or more pounds. I just can't seem to not diet for a couple of weeks & not gain weight.

This is very distressing for me. When I get down to 160 Lbs. if I'm just going to gain weight, what is the point.

Are there any of you that has had this problem. Then finished losing their weight. But when you done you stopped the cycle of gaining the weight back.

I want this so bad.

But if I'm just going to gain the weight back. what is the point.

Chip

troutman yep mate I am an Aussie from Melb. I hope all is going to go well can control hunger most of the time but sometimes get bored and eat. Giving up smoking at the same time I find that dieting and gym take my mind right away from smoking. Let us Know a bit about your self.

Worried more

Hey everyone, My post yesterday even worries me more when no one wants to talk about what happens when we reach goal. When I get out of control so easily now when I'm losing weight.

Maybe I'm the only one with the problem. So nothing to talk about.

sdpet, A little about me. Married 2 children. Live in Lancaster, Ca. Hopefully moving to Vancouver Washington this summer, our home is up for sale right now. I'm a Real Estate Agent for a living.

Chip

My general issue is that my appetite is almost the exact same no matter what, although my activity level has gone down quite a bit in the last few years. Way too much time in front of the computer :D

I don't want to ride the diet roller-coaster and don't want to feel like I'm on a diet forever, although I've come to terms with the fact that I can't eat whatever the hell I want and still be in shape. I don't want to have to eat like a bird, or work out 2 hrs a day, either.

I'm a 33 y.o. living in California (northern), and have really felt the metabolism slow down when I hit 30. I've gained about 40 lbs over the past 3 years... (to be fair, I've also changed jobs to an Internet one, and I drive to work now instead of walking/biking because it's way too far from home)

TROUTMAN: do you think what you've been doing to lose weight is not sustainable? it sounds like you can just ease up on whatever you've been doing to lose so much weight, but not regress to what you were doing before that brought you up to 309 lbs. if you've been doing something drastic to lose the weight that has required sheer willpower to make it this far, you might want to make some adjustments that make your plan more enjoyable and sustainable.

I think that after you reach your goal the rest will be relatively easy:

(calories in) can now equal (calories out)
So if you go out one day and exercize alot and get tired you could eat more
the thing is to not suddenly stop exercize + good eating habits and expect to stay in the same weight. you need to keep on watching after yourself with the difference that then it will be easier since you wont be going after weight loss but weight preservation.

I just think you should just take it one step at a time/one pound at a time
i think it works :)
