And why? If people want to let you know their gender, they will, but some don't like to. I think things are okay as they are.
 
I like the idea. Someone doesn't have to fill in this information, but if they'd like to... well, it's really helpful for the rest of us! :)
 
As long as it's optional, I don't see the problem with it either, don't get me wrong. It should just be up to the person if they want to fill it in or not. Then again, you can never be sure if they are actually telling the truth anyway....*lol*
 
exactly -this isn't a site where gender matters... but if you are interested... get to know people by reading and it's pretty clear what their gender is..

well as a woman i rather looking at other womens posts to get tips and stuff(cos men lose weight quicker than women, and dont get the bloating from monthys etc)
