Hi Y'all,
This is my first post to this forum, I'm looking forward to the responses!
My question is basically this... how do I make the most of my work out time? I have 4 kids (homeschool the older 3) and a small farm, so the time I can dedicate to myself for working out is limited, pretty much an hour 5-6 days a week.
Right now I am alternating between two basic daily routines... I either do 40-45 min of cardio, or I do 20-25 min of cardio and 20-25 min of free weights and lower body sculpting/toning. I am using a variety of exercise DVDs for all of this (Denise Austin and Kathy Smith primarily, Walk Away the Pounds 3-mile walk when I'm having a lazy day). I always do a good warm up and cool down/stretch as well.
I am loosing weight, and I've lost weight before doing pretty much the same thing (those darned 40+ lbs I lost before the last baby, and then gained almost all of it back! ugh!).
With the weather getting nicer I'll be able to add 2 mile walks a few times a week while pushing a 5 <well, she gets out and walks a lot on her own> and 2 year old in a double stroller!
Anyway, I'm always looking to get the most out of the time I have to exercise. I wish I could get to a gym to use the various resistance training machines, but alas, I live VERY rural and it's just not much of an option. Especially with 4 kids in tow!
Thanks-
Liz
