Makeing it through the drone of cardio machines.

Hey there,
Im an off and on fitness enthusiast just getting back into swing of things. My fitness goals are basicly to look decent, stay healthy, and maintain sanity. I am more interested in lifting weights than doing cardio, but understand cardio is very much needed. Trying to get at least 30 min of cardio is becoming increasingly difficult. The mental endurance part is what im having issues with. Currently I am getting a good 70-80% MHR for 15 min on eliptical, doing weight routine(about 40-60min), then attempting 15 more min of 75-85% MHR on eliptical. Any suggestions to help get past my "mental breakdown" and keep pushing through? music, audio book, video game, magazine or anything Please Help...

Ya i know what you mean. Im currently having issues finding a partner. Unless im drinking beer or eating donuts my friends have no interest in helping with training. I usually post on facebook to try to find a racquet ball partner with no luck. I really like the benifit of the cardio machines to help maintain and moniter MHR and time. I just keep looking at the time as the lactic acid builds up in agony and wonder how in the world only 45 seconds has past. I found a couple songs that got me pumped up today and actually pushed through 20 min post weights today *flex*, but those will only last so long. More suggestions pls
