Made it to My Halfway Mark!!

I finally did it. I made it to my halfway mark. I don't believe I have ever lost this much weight before. Going to the gym in the morning and having my mom come with me has made an amazing difference. I have tried before going to the gym half the time on my own and that is just so hard! Going in the evening is also hard cause it takes up your 'free time' and with horse back riding nearly every night as well it just got so busy. I would go to the gym for a couple hours, go home eat real quick, then head off to the barn for a couple hours!

My current stats are

My Starting Weight in Nov, 07: 168 lbs
My Current Weight: 147.6 lbs (down 2.6lb from last week)
My First Mini Goal: 155 lbs by January 31 *ACCOMPLISHED*
My Second Mini Goal: 148 (my half way mark) by March 19 *ACCOMPLISHED* DOWN 20 POUNDS!
My Third Mini Goal: 143 lbs by April 9
My Ultimate Goal: 128 (Lose 40 Pounds then see if I need to lose more or not)

Yay, I am so happy to be at the half way mark!!! It's awesome. THough not a single person outside my family has commented on it at all (I did just lose all of my friends recently so now don't have too many people to share it with). I also don't really see or feel a difference. I hardly even feel a difference in most of my clothing but the stuff I am wearing now I got when I had lost 10 pounds and it was a touch tight so now for it to still not feel loose is a little disheartening but I know it will get there.

Anyways just had to let you guys know. Only 20 pounds to go! (well technically only 19.6 ;) )

PS. I need to find some way to reward myself for this. I am thinking possibly going out and getting a 'target' outfit but I am unsure what size I will actually be when I am done. I wore a 7/8 in high school (remember I am only 22 so it wasn't that long ago) but would have loved to be a 5/6....hmm

Hey Mysticrealm you are doing well.
We are on similar wavelengths.
I started on January 1st at 167lbs and I now weigh 148lbs. I have joined a gym 2 weeks ago and I have now hit a plateau. havent lost in two weeks.
How often are you getting to the gym and how long do you spend there.
What is your height. I am 5 ft 0 and not too sure what my end goal should be.
I will see at 125lbs whether it is enough. Maybe I will need more.
Anyway keep up what you are doing it is working well.

Well congratulations girls! Now you are going to find out just how tough you really are because it is almost definitely going to get harder as you get closer and closer to your goal weight. The key is to not let a plateau or even a weight gain defeat you. One of the two, if not both, is almost definitely going to happen. You just have to sit down and think it through. If and when that happens just be honest with yourself and think about where you could have done better that particular week. Fine tune and try again the next week, then reasses. Keep coming here too. Lots of people on here who have been through it and a lot of people on here with a lot of knowledge. Don't even think about giving up though.

Mystic, sorry to hear you had it out with your friends. Not sure what happened there but if they were real friends hopefully you can patch things up with them. Don't worry about people not noticing or saying anything yet. You have to admit, it almost fuels your fire a little doesn't it? It did for me. Then all of the sudden at one point everyone was like "whoa! you have lost a lot of weight!" I think that came after I had lost just over 30 lbs.

=D awsome ! I love when people are determined enough to set themselves goals! I know it's frustrating when people dont comment on it but hey we're all doing this for ourselves right?

You may not see the difference right now but am sure you will when you hit your goal weight!.. I've lost 10 lbs since I started and my clothes dont feel much different. In fact, i still cant fit in the size below belgian 36 (that'd be a size 4 or 6 depending if u trust CNN or wiki.. lol) agh it's fustrating!
I dont find buying smaller "goal" outfit useful ^^; I tend to try them and feel discouraged

but hang in there, the difference WILL show.

Congrats on your weight loss so far!!

As for target outfit...for some reason I kept a few pieces of my clothing that I really liked from high school. A pair of jeans, a form fitting shirt, a skirt, and a dress...I normally try these on once every week or two to determine if I look any different in them or where I've lost weight. It actually has been helpful to see things fitting differently and better. Then I decided when I hit my target weight I'm gonna buy something really cute...maybe a new dress, in hopes of it getting warmer soon!

Or if you don't have anything from high school when you were a 7/8, buy something in that size and make that your goal to get into that. Once you meet that goal, buy a 5/6, and work towards that. You can always get the 7/8 altered to your new found 5/6 body!

Good luck on the rest of your journey!! :)

Awesome job!!!! Imagine how your gonna feel/look if you keep going!!! Make sure to keep up updated with some pictures soon too!

Good Job So far !! :beerchug:

Thanks guys.I am planning on getting pics real soon. I do have pics from when I had lost 17 pounds but none that really show the difference from the very beginning till now.
