Hi Everyone!
I'm super excited to be starting this journey with you! This diary thread is to keep myself accountable as well as to hopefully interact with you all and provide motivation and support! I will update daily and update my weight weekly....let's do this together!

So some facts about me: I'm 5'8" and currently weigh 145lbs. My overall goal weight is 112lbs and my first goal weight is 130lbs! I'm vegan and have been for sixth months now (it's my six month vegan birthday next week!!!). I have a MAJOR sweet tooth :( BUT that is something I'm going to keep under control!

Nice to meet you all! Feel free to let me know all about you!!
Maddy

Hi Maddy and welcome to our forum! I´m very newly vegan(ish) and it´s nice to see someone who´s further along the road. I´m no good with imperial measurements but wouldn´t 112 lbs be very low at your height? Have you figured out a plan to get your sweet tooth under control yet?
Looking forward to reading along with you! Best of luck, LaMa.

Hi, Maddy & welcome to the forum. Were you much heavier before you became vegan? Your BMI is well within in the healthy range, which is excellent. What exercise do you do? Once again, welcome. Hope you like it here. Cheers, Cate.

So it is the 20/11/17 and ah I'm sorry for my lack of updating! I had a weigh in today and came out at 139lbs, which is 6lbs less than last time!! I have been super good today at sticking to being healthy too! (and I've been to the gym twice... I know....dedication or what?)
So this is brief as I have a lot of work to get done, but I hope you are all well!!
lotsa love
Maddy xoxo

Hi Cate!
No I wasn't much heavier before I was vegan.... in fact I've put on weight since becoming vegan! And I run a lot but I try to mix up cardio with doing a lot of bodyweight gym workouts such as sit ups/planks/squats/leg raises etc,,, I find doing bodyweight exercises until fatigue works better for my body type than using weights and doing fewer reps!

Hi LaMaria!
Thank you for welcoming me! How are you finding your vegan journey?? 112lbs wouldn't be too low as I have very petite bone structure and was a lot closer to that weight before becoming vegan (don't worry I'll make sure to keep healthy!!). And I don't have a plan as such yet, just trying to avoid keeping sweet foods in my house! How are you??

Just did some quick sums: 112 lbs would put you at a bmi of 17. Even for people with a very slender bone structure 18.5 is the lower end of healthy. 18 if I´m being generous and you´re 16. I know I´m being annoying and it isn´t really any of my business but I want people to be happy and healthy

I´m struggling with the vegan thing right now simply because I don´t enjoy cooking and I´ve already found that store-bought vegan food is at least at bad for me as store-bought omnivore food. But the advantages are so noticeable, health-wise, that I will fight through that. Ask me again in six months :)

I hated cooking before I turned vegan but honestly now I love it! I found it was a great way to try new things and also to live cheaply as a vegan (because buying store bought food can be soo expensive). There are some really good blogs with easy vegan recipes that are super tasty, that was how I started! Good luck!

Thanks! I do love and have been following several vegan Youtubers. Watching others cook is so soothing!
