Hi! I'll admit I'm a lurker in this forum and in health/fitness; but hopefully no more! I joined a gym in Feb and have commited to a healthy lifestyle. Five days per week during my lunch hour, I do 2 miles on the treadmill plus 4 exercises rotating each day through shoulders/arms, legs, and back. My goals are to be stronger, toner and healthier and just do the best I can with what I have.
Yesterday, for the first time ever, I attended a pilates class. I was so nervous because I'm not flexible or coordinated. All the girls in the class are beautiful already (I'm 45). But the teacher was GREAT and made me believe that I truly have to start somewhere and getting started would be the hardest part.
So I'm on my way and going on faith that I can survive each workout and keep going. I can't remember wanting something so badly. This forum is a blessing. There are so many supportive people and so much good advise. I'm going to really learn a lot here.
Sincerely,
kdot
