just a quick response:
often times when assessing a client or athlete, I find that, second to weak abs, tioght hamstrings are a major cause of low back pain.
The muscles of the hamstring cross the hip joint and if they are tight, can throw the pelvis and LB out of whack!

stretching the hamstrings:
sit at the front edge of a chair. Extend one leg out straight, with your toes pointing up (foot flexed). Other leg is bent with foot on floor for support. Keeping good posture (head and chest up), lean forward as if you were trying to touch your chest to your foot. Lean until you feel a gentle stretch in the back of your straight leg. Hold for about 30 seconds. Repeat 3 or 4 times. Make sure to do both legs. Repeat this at least 2 times a week.
