Hi guys new to the forum, just looking for some other opinions so sorry if it's a long post, I'll try to summarise
Basically I injured my back around 3 years ago when deadlifting, bottom left just above the glute, at the time I didn't think anything of it but I realised as I went on I was quite stiff, so after a few months I saw a physio and got some sports massages and that worked wonders. I was fine after that for about a year, was deadlifting/squatting/playing football all fine etc
Now, since then it's essentially 're-injured' twice. Both while squatting.
However this latest one was about April time, I was advised to just rest it so I did, and went to the NHS physio thinking they might have some more advanced stuff etc, but all I was given was exercises. So basically I had been doing those, but since April I haven't been able to straighten my legs when sitting on a chair without really sharp pain in the lower left back and legs shaking etc
This went on until 3/4 weeks ago when I was in the gym and I literally stood up and felt my back go funny, so I left straight away, came home and just lay down on ice. I could barely walk the next day again...
So having come to the conclusion NHS physio hasn't helped atall, I went back to my old physio and he's been doing massage therapy, tense machine, ultrasound etc and it's came on a good bit
But my worry is, I still can't straighten my legs without this quite frankly extreme pain in my lower left back area. I'm a bit worried I have some more serious damage potentially? like nerve or something.
I have been to 2 doctors, one sent me for an xray but came back 'no action required', and they just give me painkillers.
I think at 23 it's a bit young for serious back issues, but I am tall and have essentially a desk job, so I'm trying to be very careful about my posture.
I know I can heal up this muscle injury because I've healed up before, but just worried about the leg straightening thing? Has anyoen experiened that before?
Thanks for any help guys, at my wits end here!
