Low Rhr

Hello,

I seem to have a low rhr, one time about 1am I was half asleep lying on my bed, i used my blood pressure monitor, and the result was about, 90 - 50, and hr 38, I checked my pulse after this and it was going very slow, so i think is was accurate.

it's very common for me to get a rhr as low as 50 even during the day, wanted some opinions on it.

Am 31 been weight training since i was about 16, athletic build about 8% body fat, but i don't do much cardo, only play tennis on average once a week, not a good long distance runner, i could run couple of miles max, but good at sprinting.

Hi cas,

You will get the lowest hr when you are half asleep. I once took mine at 40 after a 12 hour sleep. You say that you are a good sprinter but bad at long distance and with an rhr at 50, i think it just means you have an exellent cardiac output but your lung stamina(or muscular stamina) needs work.
