Low cal/fat snack ideas...

I need some low calorie/fat snack ideas. Please bear in mind I am a vegetarian! Thanks =)

PS. Fruit and veggies...need not apply. Unless they are creative! :p

I'm not the most informed person when it comes to giving out advice, but I'd say popcorn, maybe? (the healthy kind)

Well I've tried to make some healthy pancakes; they're made with 1/4 cup whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup white flour, 2 splenda packets, 1/2 - 3/4 cups of milk (skim milk should also work), 1 egg, and that's it. I just add a little bit of oil on a pan - wipe it off with some paper towel and cook on medium to high heat. For a topping you can use anything - I like jams, because they have like 30-60 calories per serving. From my calculations, this should make about 6-8 pancakes (either thin or thick).

So thats... 70 calories in the egg, 200 for the flour, 80 for the milk + toppings. That should make for 2-3 snacks.

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, piece of fruit chopped up in, nuts. Dry cereal, piece of bread, string cheese, pita and baba ghannouj, hummus or salsa, cup of tea, mushrooms out of the jar.

baked garbanzo beans. They make nice little crunchy treats I hear. I have some sitting in my pantry for that reason - still havent done it lol. you can coat them with chili powder, or onion powder, or garlic powder, or taco seasoning - the theme here being: whatever sounds yummy to you.

I havent done this in a while, but you can toss broccoli in olive oil, salt to taste and bake in the oven at abt 400 for 15 min or when the broc begins to just barely carmelize. It is super good warm, almost sweet, even better the next day chilled. I bet they would be good in a salad too - havent tried that yet.

I would like to recommend a useful article written by a professional figure competitor.
It helped me diet in a more structured way.
