love handles

I have these awful love handles that won't go away, and they are annoying as crap. I run 5 days a week, abs at least 4 days a week, and i do resistance training also which works my core (so i'm told). I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on some exercises/techniques to get rid of this problem area. My diet is of no issue as i stick to low carb, low fat, 2000-2500 calories a day burning about 3000-3500 a day, getting at least 1g of protein for every pound of body weight. So mainly my question is are these things just gonna take time for them to disappear or can i speed up this process?
 
How do you know you're burning 3000-3500 calories a day? If you're burning that much and only consuming 2000-2500 calories a day, you are losing ~2 pounds a week, correct? If that's the case, that's a pretty severe caloric restriction on your diet and you may be slowing your metabolism down. How long have you been eating and working out like this?

hey-- she sounds like she knows what's up! not that I do.

to the love handles! I thought I was counting my calories pretty good until I was challenged to stop eating sugar all together. My handles have dropped off, and they did so pretty fast.
