Lost a fair bit of weight...what about my belly?

Hello

Ok, so the story so far...I've lost about 3 stone over the past 5 month. I started of losing 2 of those very fast and then came back to my job at sea and lost another stone. Now, i seem to be at a steady and what i consider a good weight. I am now between 11 1/2 stone to 12 stone. I feel better, confidence is up and the girls are more interested.

However, i don't think my belly is shifting at all. It is smaller, dont get me wrong, but i want a toned stomach and if i continue to lose fat and in turn weight i'll just be too light. Why the hell hasn't it came off here yet? I can feel abs through the fat but it won't leave.

When i get home from sea i plan on pursuing a very low carb high protein diet for the month and a half i am home and continuing my jogging routine. Will this help?

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce. HIIT training is a great way to lose fat overall (if u are not familiar google it). If you add weights to your cardio then you will be able to build size so as not to look too thin everywhere but your belly. If there is still fat on your belly then obviously it is just a stubborn area for you, but you can lose it if you keep persisting. You might want to try some different types of exercise to shake things up a bit. Billy Blanks Tae Bo has some awesome kickboxing style workout dvds that focus on the core in unconventional ways that definitely give results. Maybe check it out so that you can get some ideas to change up your workout. bob harper from the biggest loser has also got an advanced totally ripped core dvd.

the high protein diet is advisable, however, don't go too low carb as this will not give you enough energy for the cardio sessions. Ideally you should be eating protein and complex carbs with every meal.
