lost 9 lbs .. but dont know if its water or fat

hey ,,, i just realized tonite ... i went on a scale for the first time in about a month and a half since ive been trying to lose bodyfat and ive gone down from 196 to 186 ... lost 10lbs ...... i have noticed a difference in the way i look ... a bit more toned and such ... but for some reason im paranoid that most of what i lost was water ... i know i have lost bodyfat ... but i dono .... maybe some was water .. because i thought if i were to lose 10 pounds i would be pretty ripped because i didnt have a hell of a lota bf in the first place ... but maybe i just need to lose more fat ? i dono ..
hope somebody can help me ... just some confused person.
sorry if this doesnt make total sense ... im a tad buzzed right now from a few beer...

how long did it take me ...
well thats hard to answer ... because i usually run almost everyday i can ... and i do a somewhat intense run each time, always challenging myself.

thing is ... id do it for a week straight ... then id go on vacation and not do it for a week .. then id come back ... do it for almost anotehr week ... then haev to work a full week .... and so on.
and on vacation my diet kinda got off track (which i dont really mind .. because it IS a vacation). so yeah ...
if i were to add all the running up and stayin on the diet ...
id say about 2 1/2 - 3weeks. ... but its also with me weightlifting ... and i know i gained some muscle mass ... so that contributes too.

also i wouldnt always stick with my diet tooo well the first couple weeks ... (it gets better each week) ... so from now on its gona be stellar ... ill hopefuly lose more.
i dont know how i wrote so much from such a simple question ahha ...
ill have to check my bf% sometime.
