so far i have lost almost 50 pounds (as of last wednesday).

i am eating 2000-2200 cals a day, working out 6 days a week (swimming, lifting weights, riding to work every day and running 5 miles about once a week).

i am currently at 222 pounds, and am going to get down to 185-190 and see how things are going, will probably go lower than that, depending on body fat.

now, i have been lifting weights to bulk up more, so i really push it hard and so far i have been feeling great.

now yesterday morning, i noticed when i bent over to put on my pants that i got a sharp stinging pain just right from my belly button, it felt like hairs being pulled, its not like its deep in my body, but almost like right at the skin. at first i was worried about a hernia, but i have been killing the situps for the past few months and have had no pains whatsoever.

that was yesterday... now this morning in bed, when i reached over to turn off my alarm clock with my left hand, i got a very sharp pain on the surface of my left shoulder blade, like someone jabbed me with a knife. its happened a couple more times today. along with the ab pain when bending over a coupla times today.

neither of these areas are painfull any other time, i can press on my abs where the pain comes from and i get no pain. also, i worked my arm in circles and pushed against my shoulder blade and no pain. but every so often i get that sharp knife-like pain. it disappears as fast as it starts. just like a flash.

anyway, swimming didn't affect my ab pain last night, so i'm thinking about skipping the wieghts tonite and just swim again.

has ANYONE had this problem when loosing weight?

Possibly the result of exercise strain, but I'm no expert. If it doesn't go away in the next few days you should probably see a doctor.
