Losing the double chin!?!?

Hey guys,

I'm down from 94kg to about 78kg, so that's 16kg/35lb. I can't seem to get rid of the double chin. I know weight loss is the ultimate answer, but after that amount of weight it should have been gone by now? I've also tried chin exercises and using bio-oil in a massaging technique. Nothing!

I know I'm answering my own question here, and the weight will come off all over gradually. My aim is 69kg, and I'm scared once I reach there I'll still have the double chin. :(

But then again, as you are of lesser weight, each kg is worth more body weight percentage and thus you'll see more physical changes? Is this usually the case.

Cheers,
Shannon.

I am sure you must notice a difference on your face and the double chin from your before weight to your current weight; it may have not disappeared completely but it would have reduced significantly; you have seem to have answered your own question that it will come off when you lose the weight. I have had similar issues; I started at 185 and now I am down to 137 and now i say double chin what double chin thats what I tell myself; I was so worried sick before abt the chin still being there after all the wt loss but no it works as you end up losing weight all over you loose fat from your face and the chin would disappear; so until then keep your chin up and work towards your goal and you will soon see what you want to see....

Congrats on your weight loss so far...and good luck for the rest

What's your age - and what do the folks in your family look like? some of that might be genetic... some people have naturally pudgy faces at 120lbs and others can be 400lbs and never get a double chin... it's really up to your body how it behaves...

I do notice a difference, I think I'm just over-reacting.

I'm 19 and my immediately family actually have very bony chins.
