Lose weight without cardio(knee injury)

Hi, Guys first post, back story earlier this year(feb) i was in an accident(just me thank god) and injured my leg, not too bad just can't run or bike ride for a while. I've since packed on the weight, and would like to slim down, current weight is 231 and im 5'7. any advice? workout plan? I was never the sporty type so i dont have a lot of muscle mass, so figured that'd be a good place to start, would it be worth me getting creatine this early?

thanks

Since you're a beginner, you can probably add some decent mass and lose fat at the same time. Adopt one of the premade routines that you can find from the weight training section. I also think NROL is a great place to start, depending on which type of workout you prefer.

You may want to hold off on the creatine, but it won't hurt. I just don't think it's necessary yet.

Ultimately, you're going to have to really get your diet in check and start some weight training. If you do both of those, you'll have NO PROBLEM losing fat :)

You don't need creatine. Your body will respond naturally if you give it the type of workout it needs. Ask your doctor if swimming is okay for your knees, plus there are a ton of ways to work out with weights to build muscle mass that don't put pressure on knees. Consider a gym - lots of weight machines, many putting no pressure at all on knees.

How about walking? I know when i was walking every day (about 3-5 miles daily) and lifting weights at the gym i cut a lot of weight and got cut in the process, if you can walk a few miles every day you'd be surprised the good it'll do, throw in some weights and you see results
