Lose more?

Hello, I found this site looking for an answer to my problem. I hope someone can explain this to me.
I recently lost like 40 lbs. I'm now 134, 5'9 and NOT happy. I was just cutting calories and walking to creat a deficit. I think I should have strength trained to keep some muscle but I didn't. So now I have a 32 inch waist. My waist and 37 inch hips are my only problem. My arms and legs are super skinny.
Now I feel so frustrated and confused. I'm at a loss of what to do. I have so much fat on my waist/hips that I feel I need to lose like 15 more lbs. But I really just want to lose inches. Like 6 or 8 inches off my waist and 2 off my hips. I don't understand strength training. I was going to try that Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred but didn't know if it would help. Since I have so much fat around my middle won't I just build muscle under it? I'm eating 1400 calories and doing 34 minutes of interval walking that equals 2 miles. Really any help or advice is appreciated.
 
I know alot of people have a hard time accepting themselves even after losing weight. It sounds like your at a very good healthy weight for your size. Maybe you need to work on your self esteem to match your great new body?
 
You say you don't really understand strength training ... but it sounds like to me that's exactly what you need. You probably don't need to lose any more weight - you need to shape up what you have.

Start by reading the sticky posts on the topic in the exercise forum. There's a lot of good information there that will get you started and help you to learn how to reshape your body and be healthy.
