Loosing weight/excercise when you can't move!

Hi everyone!

I've currently got a torn ligament in my ankle, which in itself is a nightmare i cant move anywhere really - im hop-along at the moment!

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for weight loss, or excercise (not cardio obviously!) whilst not being able to move around much - if there even is anything i can do?! Because the thought of just sitting whilst still eating worries me slightly!

(The hopping is actually quite tiring, so thats my substitute for the treadmill at the mo!)

Any suggestions will help!

I would simply ride it out until healed up and really control diet.

What's the time frame you're looking at?

If I injured my ankle, I'd still be lifting weights for the upper body personally. Beyond that though, I wouldn't be doing too much.
 
No excercise for 3-4wks apparently! Yeah, i will watch the diet more - its just so frustrating not to get any excercise, even walking from station to work is out for me!
 
Yea, but it's just temporary.

I would move my diet to a maintenance intake and just maintain my current body while I'm healing. Exercise isn't *that*important that not doing any for a few weeks is going to ruin your body, assuming you don't do something real stupid nutritionally.
